Our GetSet Transylvania programming is the result of bringing together community stakeholders to address the needs of children in our community, from birth to age five.
Who is GetSet Transylvania?
We are proud to be a partner of GetSet Transylvania, a collaborative of local non-profits, government departments and offices, faith-based organizations, child care providers, concerned community members, and businesses with a shared mission to promote lifelong learning, health, and resilience in all young children in Transylvania County.
This is truly a grass-roots effort where there is no official GetSet organization or membership roster. Organizations and individuals show-up and participate as their capacity allows — or sometimes doesn’t, but they show up anyway.
The coalition has a multi-pronged effort to lay foundational programs and resources to encourage growth, learning, and resilience for all children and their families.
The Toolkit Program
GetSet Transylvania’s free toolkits are designed for families and caregivers with children who are five-years-old and younger.
Each toolkit provides a book from Sesame Street, local resource information and fun extra items about a specific topic relevant to families with young children.
