Training

Smart Start of Transylvania County is dedicated to the continuing education of local early childhood professionals working in both licensed and unlicensed settings.

Most of the training opportunities offered by Smart Start are cost-free to participants and co-sponsored by members of the early childhood education community.  Educators from different settings connect with one another to enhance learning and strengthen relationships between local early childhood professionals.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR TRAININGS:

Smart Start is pleased to announce that, in addition to attending in-person workshops with SSIC, educators can complete online courses at Sesame Street in Communities for DCDEE credits!

Under the Professional Development tab are Courses and Interactive Trainings.  Each of these courses can be completed for 3 Contact Hour Credits.  Just print the certificate of completion when you finish the course, and add it to your portfolio of other DCDEE credits earned.  Not all course options are available at the same time. Visit Sesame Street In Communities to learn which courses are currently available.
